Parenting skills for managing early childhood problems & challenges
As per the Philosophy for childhood Issues it is considered as a general belief that every child is blessed with a distinct & unique set of temperament which also affects his / her learning abilities & capacities. Each child also has a distinct reasoning ability.
Child needs free environment to grow
In order to inculcate smartness & foster confidence amongst the children it is needed that they are afforded an environment where they get opportunity of asking questions that arise out of independent thinking exercises. These questions that the children get motivated to ask may be related to any of the topics that affects them directly or indirectly as part of the society to which they belong. The questions may be related to topics similar to affection, fear of competition, study pressure or anything else that their thought may provoke them to start inquiring into. In fact it is observed that questioning is a healthy symptom amongst children since it tends to promote observation skills and also helps in adaptability to the environment which is extremely essential part of stable growth & development in children.
Experiential learning for children
Parents must try promoting experiential learning styles amongst children in order to make the process less boring and simultaneously interesting for their wards.
Child should interact with different relatives in family
Similarly the children must be given an opportunity to understand the value of the different degrees of relationship as this ultimately helps in promotion of social traits amongst the children.
Benefits of joint family system for children
The Indian system of joint family living where the children used to get regular exposure to multiple degrees of relationships was one of the best training grounds for giving all the required and necessary sociability skills to the children.
Small families are cause of many childhood problems
With the onset of modern day living where family comprises of only husband, wife and two children the children are at loss in terms of lack of cohesive atmosphere to develop social skills and ultimately they start experiencing the negative affect of Isolation in their early years which is not healthy for their development.
Parents lack time & attention for children
It is also observed that parents tend to spend very little time interacting with their children although some parents may cite that they take good care of their children needs but that is not sufficient.
Parents must spend quality time with their children
Actually the expectation from Philosophical perspective is not jut limited to fulfilling the monetary & materialistic needs of the children as this does not absolves them of their important responsibility of parenthood. In fact what is needed is spending the quality time daily by ensuring complete attention to their children.
Activities parents must engage with their children
Activities like cycling, going on walk in parks, playing sports, picnic trips, zoo visits etc. are considered as good in this respect where the child gets opportunity to experience complete attention and care of his / her parents.
Parenthood must also focus on giving personal time to children
To sum up parenthood is not limited to simply affording good school, luxury gadgets and accessories to the children rather it is time & effort demanding exercise where giving time & ensuring physical presence to ensure more benefit to the children in contrast to only spending money on them.
Balanced childhood growth & development
Apart from what the traditional schooling system can offer to children above discussed activities go a long way in developing the confidence of children for their balanced development & growth.
